5.6 COOLING FAN

Inspection

WARNING: Fan blade failure can cause personal injury. Do not pull or pry on the fan. This can damage the fan blades and result in fan failure.

CAUTION: Use the engine barring gear to rotate the crankshaft.
The cooling fan should be visually inspected daily. Check for cracks, loose rivets, and loose or bent fan blades. Ensure the fan is securely mounted. Tighten screws if necessary. Replace damaged fans.
